Kay M. Hoveland
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Ms. Hoveland has served as president and chief executive officer of Kaiser Federal Bank since 1987. Ms. Hoveland has been a director of Kaiser Federal Bank since 2000.
James L. Breeden
Director and Chairman of the Board
Mr. Breeden has served as chairman of the Board of Directors since November 2000. He is a retired hospital administrator for the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals where he worked for 27 years. Mr. Breeden has been a director of Kaiser Federal Bank since 1987. This includes service as a director of Kaiser Permanente Federal Credit Union.
Michael J. Sacher, CPA
Director and Audit Committee Chairperson
Mr. Sacher has spent the last 30 years in public accounting, specializing in the financial institutions sector. From August 2001, he served seven years as a partner with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP resigning to start a consulting firm providing services to financial institutions. He was appointed to the Board and the Audit Committee in October 2008.
Robert C. Steinbach
Director
Mr. Steinbach has served as the chief inspector for the Building and Safety Department of the City of Los Angeles since 2002 and has been with the Department since 1985. Mr. Steinbach has been a director of Kaiser Federal Bank since 2000.
Laura G. Weisshar, CPA
Director
Ms. Weisshar is a Vice President and Controller for Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region. She was appointed to the Board in October and elected in December 2008. Ms Weisshar has experience in internal audit as well as financial reporting and disclosure under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration – accounting from California State University, Northridge.
Rita H. Zwern
Director and Secretary
Ms. Zwern has been employed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan since 1984 and currently is the manager of State Programs. Ms. Zwern has been a director of Kaiser Federal Bank since 1987. This includes service as a director of Kaiser Permanente Federal Credit Union.
