K-Fed Bancorp (NASDAQ: KFED) (the "Company"), the parent company of Kaiser Federal Bank (the "Bank"), is pleased to report net income of $4.7 million or $0.36 per diluted share for the year ended June 30, 2009 as compared to $3.9 million or $0.29 per diluted share last year. Net income for the year ended June 30, 2008 included $1.3 million in stock offering costs resulting from the cancellation of the stock offering in November 2007 due to unfavorable market conditions. The recognition of these expenses resulted in a decline of $0.06 in basic and diluted earnings per share for the year ended June 30, 2008.

K-Fed Bancorp (NASDAQ: KFED) (the "Company"), the parent company of Kaiser Federal Bank (the "Bank"), reported net income of $1.2 million or $0.09 per diluted share for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 and $3.5 million or $0.27 per diluted share for the nine months then ended. This compares to net income of $1.3 million or $0.10 per diluted share for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 and $2.7 million or $0.20 per diluted share for the nine months then ended. Net income for the nine months ended March 31, 2008 included $1.3 million in stock offering costs resulting from the cancellation of the stock offering in November 2007 due to unfavorable market conditions. The recognition of these expenses resulted in a decline of $0.05 in basic and diluted earnings per share for the nine months ended March 31, 2008.
